Vandana Gangaram Panday holds an MSc in Systems Engineering, Policy Analysis and Management from Delft University of Technology, a Postgraduate in Petroleum Engineering from TNO/TU Delft, and an LLM in Mineral Law & Policy from the University of Dundee, Scotland.

Vandana leads Staatsolie's regulatory duties as Deputy Director of the Staatsolie Hydrocarbon Institute. She is responsible for promoting Suriname's acreage to the international exploration and production industry, concluding and managing petroleum agreements with international oil companies, and overseeing the management of all offshore data. She brings over 20 years of experience within Staatsolie's value chain, with a strong track record in petroleum law and policy, strategy and corporate planning, contract negotiations and regulatory affairs.
