Annand Jagesar holds a bachelor's degree in Business Economics and a master's degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy.

Annand has spent a significant part of his career at Staatsolie, holding positions including Director Downstream, Deputy Director Business Development and Manager Corporate Planning before being appointed Managing Director. He has a strong track record in strategic planning, project execution and operational efficiency, and led the acquisition of the Chevron retail business in Suriname. He has also been a member of negotiation teams for Production Sharing Contracts and has negotiated several follow-up agreements to progress their execution.

Beyond Staatsolie, he has served as Chairman of the Board of the Suriname Stock Exchange, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Academic Hospital Paramaribo, Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Assuria N.V., and Member of the Supervisory Board of Twin Hotels N.V., owner of Courtyard Marriott Suriname.
