Staatsolie Issues New Bond
Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. is launching a new bond to raise at least US$ 250 million and EUR 50 million. Staatsolie donates SRD 1 million to the Blood Bank on its anniversary.
PARAMARIBO – Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. celebrates its 44th anniversary today, 13 December 2024. To mark this milestone and as a token of appreciation to the Surinamese community, Staatsolie, in collaboration with the Su Aid Foundation, has donated SRD 1,000,000 to the National Blood Bank of Suriname.
Promising first observations with Multibeam and Piston Coring in Suriname
The Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) survey offshore Suriname has been successfully completed. This survey, which began in the middle of this year, covered an area of more than 44,000 km². Piston Coring started in early November, taking samples from the seabed.
ExxonMobil Withdraws from Block 52
ExxonMobil Exploration & Production Suriname B.V. has formally notified Staatsolie that it will withdraw from Block 52 in the Surinamese offshore area effective 14 November 2024. This withdrawal is part of ExxonMobil's ongoing evaluation of assets in its global portfolio. ExxonMobil is transferring its fifty percent working interest to PETRONAS Suriname E&P B.V., which is the operator of the block.
Staatsolie's investment in a new bridge brings a sense of relief to the local community
On Friday 15 November 2024, the new pedestrian bridge over the Mattonshoop Canal was opened. The construction of the new bridge was funded by Staatsolie Maatschappij Suriname N.V. and is a relief to the neighborhood residents who had to cross the old bridge daily.
