Downstream

Our Downstream operations cover the refining of crude oil, fuel storage and distribution, bunkering, exports and electricity generation.

At our refinery in Tout Lui Faut, Saramacca Crude from our onshore fields is processed into petroleum products for use in Suriname. These products supply the transportation, business and industrial sectors. Selected products are also exported to regional markets, while marine fuels are supplied to vessels through our bunkering services.

Electricity generation is managed through Staatsolie Power Company Suriname (SPCS). Thermal power is generated at Tout Lui Faut, while the Brokopondo Hydroelectric Power Plant generates hydropower. The electricity produced is supplied to Suriname’s national grid.

Through these activities, Downstream connects our crude oil production with the fuels and electricity used across Suriname.
