O.S. Dijkveld and the wider Tout Lui Faut/Dijkveld community identified the need for a proper sport facility where pupils, young people and residents could exercise, play and come together. The school required a dedicated space for physical education and recreation, while the surrounding community also needed a safe and structured place for sports and social activities.
The project is being implemented in phases. The first phase focuses on preparing the area, including clearing the land and creating access to the terrain. The following phases include the construction of the sport field and supporting facilities such as sanitary facilities, changing rooms, fencing and lighting. Together, these improvements will help create a functional and sustainable sport complex for school and community use.
With an estimated project value of approximately USD 300,000, Staatsolie supports this initiative as part of its 45th anniversary social investment programme. The project reflects Staatsolie’s connection with the Tout Lui Faut/Dijkveld community and its commitment to investing in facilities that contribute to youth development, community wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.
Through this sport facility, O.S. Dijkveld pupils and residents from the surrounding area will have more opportunities to participate in sports, develop teamwork and discipline, and strengthen social ties within the community. The project contributes to a safer and more active environment for children, young people and families.
